INTRODUCING…..

THE DARKNESS

The Darkness in the STARGRL collection is the shadowed part of the inner self—the voice that questions worth, dims the light, and tempts the heart into hiding. This character embodies the fears, wounds, and unspoken stories that cling to a person when they feel unseen. In the narrative, The Darkness isn’t a villain but a misunderstood protector, formed from hurt and the instinct to shield STARGRL from a world that didn’t always welcome her brightness. Its presence brings weight, depth, and contrast to the collection, reminding us that even the most radiant light is shaped by the shadows it learns to rise from.

THE TUFNELL OVERGROUND

The Tufnell Overground Station photoshoot in London was captured by the fast-emerging fashion photographer Danniphotography. This shoot revealed the “extraordinary in the ordinary,” uncovering the dark and protective feeling carried by the Darkness — the quiet anxiety of repression and self preservation woven into every frame.

BEFORE THE SHINE GLOSS.

Photos of The Darkness were taken before any latex gloss was applied, capturing the garment in its raw, natural state with its original matte, dusty finish.
