“Sustainability, but make it unforgettable.”

MIA MCGRISKIN exists to challenge the way fashion is created, consumed, and desired. Born from lived experience, the brand is rooted in the belief that sustainability should never feel like a compromise, it should feel powerful, seductive, and unapologetically bold.

At its core, MIA MCGRISKIN is about making sustainability sexy. The brand speaks to the youth who crave glamour, imagination, and transformation, yet refuse to inherit a planet destroyed by fashion’s past mistakes. We reject the idea that ethical fashion must be muted, safe, or invisible. Instead, we design pieces that are wild, iconic, and emotionally charged, garments that demand attention while respecting the ecosystem they exist within.

Storytelling is central to the brand. Each collection is driven by Psychological themes of identity, exile, fame, vulnerability, and the unseen parts of the self. MIA MCGRISKIN designs for those who have felt unheard, overlooked, or disconnected, using fashion as a language to give voice, light, and presence. Clothing becomes armour, performance, and protection; a space where individuality and imagination can thrive.

Sustainability is embedded into every decision, from material sourcing and local production to advanced pattern cutting and small, intentional runs. The brand values craftsmanship over speed, longevity over disposability, and meaning over mass consumption. By working closely with responsible suppliers and prioritising thoughtful design, MIA MCGRISKIN aims to reduce waste while elevating fashion to an art form.

MIA MCGRISKIN is not trend-led, it is future-led. Designed for artists, creatives, and the next generation of women who want to be seen without causing harm, the brand envisions a world where fashion no longer pollutes, exploits, or erases identity. Instead, it becomes a tool for expression, empowerment, and change.

This is fashion for the STARGRLS of the world.
This is sustainability with desire.
This is…..

“MAKING SUSTAINABILITY SEXY”

I HAVE A DREAM…..

Growing up, sustainability in fashion felt like something that simply wasn’t made for people my age. It was expensive, inaccessible, and worst of all, it wasn’t appealing. For the youth of the world, sustainability wasn’t presented as a desire, it was presented as a sacrifice. And when you’re young, trying to find yourself, to belong, to stand out, the last thing you want is to wear something that feels dull, outdated, or disconnected from culture.

The reality is that my generation, and those younger than me, are constantly chasing the next look. A new outfit for every night out, every moment, every version of ourselves. We don’t reuse clothes because fashion has taught us that repetition equals irrelevance. This mindset is unbelievably damaging to the planet, and fast fashion is deeply responsible for creating it, feeding off insecurity, speed, and disposability.

For a long time, “wild” and “iconic” were two words I never associated with sustainable fashion. And that, to me, is the core of the problem. Sustainability has been marketed towards responsibility, not desire. Towards older women, not the youth who are consuming fashion at the fastest rate. Yet wild and iconic are the very secrets to how we build a truly sustainable fashion world, one that excites, seduces, and speaks the language of younger generations.

If we want change, sustainability must stop feeling like a limitation and start feeling like power. It must be imaginative, bold, sexy, and culturally relevant. It must allow young people to express themselves without destroying the planet in the process.

I have a dream of a future where the youth of this world inherit a planet no longer harmed by fashion. A future where the industry no longer pollutes, exploits, or destroys our ecosystem for trends that last a single night. A future where sustainability and desire coexist, where fashion becomes a force of creativity, not destruction.

That is the world I am trying to build.
