The Adidas Fembot Collection

The Adidas Fembot collection was created for a project set by Adidas. During a competition with the brand, I submitted a one-page written response based on their slogan, “Impossible Is Nothing.” This piece of writing secured me a place in the final round of the competition.

Upon reaching the finals, the Adidas team informed me that the Football Wear division at the Adidas headquarters — the World of Sport Center in Herzogenaurach, Germany, was interested in what I could bring to the future of football attire. In response, I designed The Fembot, a collection that merges modern feminine aesthetics with advanced football training wear.

Inspired by futuristic female robots, the collection imagines what women’s football training gear could look like in the far future. I incorporated EMS (Electro Muscle Stimulation) training technology directly into the garments, specifically at the abdomen. To conceal the EMS elements while enhancing the aesthetic, I added sculpted female abdomen detailing. This created the visual effect of defined abs while discreetly hiding the EMS components beneath, allowing the technology to remain functional without disrupting the overall design.

EMS is a fascinating technology that uses electrical impulses to contract muscles, increasing activation, strengthening performance, and supporting enhanced training. By embedding this technology into the clothing itself, The Fembotquestions how wearable tech and sportswear can work together to empower the next era of athletes.
